Southern Pinwheel
The beautiful Southern Pinwheel Galaxy taken from home during our 21 day lockdown period here in South Africa.

Starring at a galaxy that is 15 million light years away I cannot help to wonder if somewhere in that galaxy is a solar system similar to ours with a planet similar to ours where there is a lockdown to try and preserve life and loved ones? I believe the odds are very good :-)

M83, also known as the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy and NGC 5236, is a barred spiral galaxy approximately 15 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
